What We Are

Create Moto is a member-driven workshop in Milwaukee’s Riverwest neighborhood. We provide the lifts, the tools, and the space. You bring your bike and your ambition.

This is not a repair shop. It is a cooperative workspace where riders of all skill levels work on their own machines, share knowledge informally, and build something together. From oil changes to full custom builds, if you want to get your hands dirty, this is where you do it.

How It Started

Kyle Kompas started out wrenching on bikes and working in dealerships. The shop grew into something bigger: a space where riders work on their own machines, share tools, and learn from each other. That became the Collective.

Kyle stepped back from repairs to focus on running the workshop. Today, Create Moto is a cooperative workspace where members bring their bikes, use the lifts and tools, and get informal guidance from experienced builders. For professional repairs, members work with our partner AK Industries, also a member.

It is not a service shop. It is a garage with a community built around it.

What Makes This Place Different

Community

A garage full of people who actually ride. Members share tools, knowledge, and the occasional six-pack. No gatekeeping – beginners and builders are all welcome.

Authenticity

Raw, gritty, and real. No fluorescent lighting, no sales floor, no upsells. Just a workshop that smells like oil and stuff getting done.

Empowerment

You do the work. We provide the lifts, the tools, and someone nearby who probably knows the answer. Learn by getting your hands dirty.
